Christmas season is over but winter is still in full swing. As much as we may love the sparkly snow that makes everything look 100x prettier and the hot coffee or cocoa that we get to cozy up with by the fireplace, winter also can bring along with it the far less glamorous cold toes, chapped lips, and dry skin. So if you’re in that boat, here’s some of My Picks for a few must haves for Winter Nourishment & More...

Chenille Sweater

Okay everything else on my Winter Picks revolves around moisture & nourishment but this one was too cute not to share. Santa delivered on stocking me up with the cutest sweaters this year. This one from Romeo & Juliet Couture is probably my favorite. And right now it’s 75% off at Nordstrom Rack! They have a bunch of other colors too. It’s super soft and is slightly cropped for the perfect fit.

Morrocan Oil Hair Mask

Winter, products for dry hair, restore dry hair, repair dry hair, hair mask, Moroccan Oil, winter must haves, winter favorites

This Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask has been a life saver. Between coloring my hair and using hot tools pretty much every day, the dry winter air leaves my hair thirsty for some moisture. Every time I use this, my hair feels so much softer and healthier. Just wash your hair, towel dry, generously work this through your hair and leave on for 5-10 min (I grab my towel while I’m still in the shower and after the mask is on, pile my hair on top of my head while I go about the rest of my shower routine) then rinse and apply your regular conditioner.

Coconut Oil

Winter, skincare, lotion, hair mask, winter must haves, winter favorites, moisturizer, coconut oil

Coconut oil is used in chap sticks, lotions, and so many other moisturizing products. If it’s cold, it’ll be solid so you might have to scoop it out with a spoon but if you rub it in your hands, it’ll turn to oil really quickly. Virgin (unrefined) coconut oil works best for skin/hair. I keep a big jar of it on the ledge of my tub so I can put it on as soon as I hop out of the shower.

It’s also great if your skin is sensitive after shaving—coconut oil is pretty much the only thing that doesn’t irritate my skin post-shaving, especially since a lot of lotions contain alcohol. And if you want a more inexpensive solution to dry or damaged hair, coconut oil is a great option too! I warm a scoop of coconut oil in my hands and work through my hair, leaving it on for about 15-20 min before getting in the shower.

Fresh Face Cream

Winter, skincare, lotion, face cream, Fresh, night cream, day cream, anti-aging cream winter must haves, winter favorites, moisturizer

I’ve never really been consistent with using face lotions and creams (other than my daily face lotion that goes under my makeup) but I’ve been loving this Lotus Youth Preserve face cream from Fresh. The heater in my bedroom blows toward my bed, so having it running throughout the night during the colder months really dries me out.

The main areas on my face that tend to get dry are under my eyes and around my nose, so in the morning, I focus on using this in those places and use my regular moisturizer for the rest of my face. At night I apply it more as an all over moisturizer. A little bit goes a long way, which is great because the jar will last you much longer. It feels light and not greasy at all! Plus it really does smell so fresh too.

Andalou Body Lotion

Winter, skincare, lotion, face cream, hair mask, Andalou, winter must haves, winter favorites, moisturizer

Last but not least, Anadalou 1000 Roses Body Lotion. I love this stuff. I always keep it in my purse so I can use it throughout the day. It absorbs into the skin well so you can use it all over your body, hands, and feet without leaving an oily lotion residue trail behind on everything you touch—because isn’t that really the worst? It has a subtle rose scent that feels fresh and not overpowering.
